An Unbelievable Story – The Love for Dars-e-Qur’an

I have been meeting book enthusiasts for many years, and each day brings a new experience and a new story. However, a few days ago, I encountered something truly astonishing.

I usually do not pay much attention to WhatsApp messages from international numbers. One late night, however, my attention was unexpectedly drawn to an old message from an American number. It was from a lady residing in the United States. Her concise and direct approach indicated that she was a sensible and well-informed person. I replied to her message, but received no response. The next day, she called me and explained that she urgently wanted to order a Dars-e-Qur’an “Pārā Set” to be delivered to an address in Sindh.

I provided her with the total cost and payment details. After she transferred the money and forwarded the payment confirmation, I was taken aback. She had sent more than the quoted price. For a moment, I stood there in surprise, because where I am, people often negotiate book prices so aggressively that it can sometimes be embarrassing. I quickly messaged her my thanks and politely inquired why she had sent the additional amount. That’s when she told me a very interesting story.

She said that a while back, her mother had come to visit her in the U.S. Her mother had a deep fondness for this particular Dars-e-Qur’an set.
